DataSplice is a mobile enterprise integration software suite that includes the following data configuration and access tools:
DataSplice Server
- Establishes connectivity to various ODBC databases
- Listens for client connections
- Processes data requested by connected clients
- Manages all database connectivity for DataSplice
DataSplice Administration Client
- Sets up users and user groups
- Sets up and administers user and group permissions
- Configures views
- Monitors the connections to the database
DataSplice Remote Client
- Simple executable that communicates with the DataSplice Server to provide real-time and/or offline remote data access
- Designed to fit handheld form factors
- Bar code scanning utilities increase efficiency and decrease data entry errors

Prerequisites
It is recommended that the DataSplice Server Machine be upgraded with any available service packs or operating system updates before beginning the installation.
In addition, depending on the database platform being used, database client software may be needed on the DataSplice Server Machine. For instance, this computer will need an Oracle Client installation to be able to connect to an Oracle database.
