DataSplice Customer Support

You may use one of the following methods to contact DataSplice for technical assistance:

Helpful Information

To expedite a solution to your inquiry, please provide the following information to the best of your ability when contacting DataSplice for technical assistance. This information helps us isolate the cause of the problem.

Hardware & Software Specifications

  • DataSplice version
  • Operating system
  • Database platform and version
  • CMMS platform and version (if applicable)

Error Details

  • What is the exact error message that you are receiving?
  • On what screen or view are you receiving this error message?
  • What steps or actions lead up to this error?
  • Is this error or problem occurring on a consistent basis, or sporadically? If it is occurring consistently, please provide the time interval.

File Attachments

  • If the problem is related to a specific view, please attach the xml file for the view (from the Views folder).
  • If you know the precise time the error took place, please attach the DataSplice Server log file for that time period (from the Logs folder).

Support Forums

Support Registration

  • On http://support.datasplice.com, click Join.
  • Enter your registration information. When you are finished, click the Register button. You will receive an email shortly thereafter with your initial login information.
  • On http://support.datasplice.com, click Log In. Enter the information that was emailed to you. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change your password. After entering your new password, click Change Password.
  • Change the settings on your Personal Preferences page as desired and click Save.

Support Forum Access

  • Once you are a registered user (see section above), send an email to support@datasplice.com requesting permissions to the Customer Support forum. In your email message, be sure to include the User Name that you chose when you registered.
  • Click Support Forums. You will see multiple forums to choose from, each with a different focus. After we have received your email and granted you permissions, the Customer Support or Partner Support forum will be available to you. These are the forums you can use to post your technical support questions.
  • If you are a customer or a partner, click Customer Support or Partner Support, respectively, from the list of forums.

Support Forum Subscription

  • To subscribe to an entire forum, browse to the forum and click Subscribe.
  • To only subscribe to particular topics in a forum, browse to the topic of interest and click Subscribe.
  • You can unsubscribe from a forum or topic at any time by clicking Unsubscribe.

Support Forum Behavior

  • Feel free to browse the existing topics to see if a topic already exists for your question. If not, create a new one by clicking New topic.
  • Enter a title for your topic, and type your inquiry in the body of the message. Refer to the Helpful Information section described above for some suggestions of content to include in your message.
  • If you are attaching a file, click the Browse button in the File section.
  • Click Save to post this message to the forum.
  • The reply to your message will be posted in the same topic. If you are subscribed to this forum or topic, the reply will also be automatically emailed to you.
