Running the Plug-in Installation Setup Wizard
The DataSplice barcode printing plug-in must be installed on the same server machine that the DataSplice Server is installed on.
Launching the Setup Wizard
To begin installing the DataSplice barcode printing plug-in, launch the DataSplice3.0_PrinterPlug-in.msi file. If the file is not currently on the server computer, it can be downloaded by logging in to http://www.datasplice.com to access the customer downloads page. If an existing installation of the plug-in is detected, a corresponding message will be displayed to allow a repair or removal to be performed.
- Repair DataSplice 3.0 Barcode Printing Plug-in - Attempts to fix an existing plug-in installation that may have some erroneous or corrupt components.
- Remove DataSplice 3.0 Barcode Printing Plug-in - Safely removes the printing plug-in from the computer.
If the plug-in has not been previously installed, the initial setup wizard screen will open. Click Next to continue with the installation process. If, at any time, you wish to cancel the installation, click the Cancel button. When available throughout the process, the Back button can also be clicked to return to the previous setup wizard screen.
Choosing the Installation Folder
The installation folder for the printing plug-in should be the same folder where DataSplice was installed. By default, this location is C:\Program Files\DataSplice3. If DataSplice was installed in a different location, click the Browse button and select the location where it was installed. Clicking the Disk Cost button opens a dialog box that shows the available disk storage space alongside the space required for the installation of the plug-in. Select Everyone (recommended) or Just me to specify whether the plug-in installation should be made available to all users on this computer or only yourself. Click Next to continue.
Confirming the Installation
After specifying the target installation folder, the Confirm Installation dialog box opens. Click Next to continue.
Installing the Plug-in Components
During the installation process, a progress window displays the current progress of the installation.
Finishing the Setup Wizard Installation Process
As the next window describes, the setup wizard installation is now complete. Click Close to exit the setup wizard.
