Client Plug-in Configuration
The client about dialog displays useful information about the current application and user, as well as allows certain plug-ins to be configured. It is displayed by selected File -> About from the menu, and has the following sections:
File Information

This section displays basic information about the application, such as the product version.
Loaded Plug-ins

The plug-ins list shows which extension modules are available on the client. Items displayed with a strikeout font are currently disabled, and items displayed with a bold red font failed to initialize. Click the Toggle Plug-in button to enable/disable the selected plug-in. Click the Edit Plug-in Options (or double-click the item in the list) to display the available options for the plug-in if any are available.
BarcodeScannerPlugin

The scanner plug-in options will display which driver is in use, and in some cases additional options specific to the loaded scanner provider:
- ScannerSimulator - This is used on the desktop clients to test and simulate scan events when no physical scanner is present. An additional option is provided to set the keypress sequence that will display the prompt for scanner input.
- Motorola/Symbol - Certain devices have multiple physical scanner devices and an option is provided to select which device to use.
SqlDataStore

The desktop SQL Data Store Plug-in has options for how to connect to an instance of SQL Server to persist offline data. The default settings provide the options used by the SQL Server Express script provided by DataSplice and described in the client configuration section. These options can be changed if needed to access any instance of SQL Server.
The handheld version of the plug-in does not have any options.
Current Attributes

The Current Attributes section shows detailed information about the current session on the device, and is particularly useful for diagnosing client-side issues related to attributes, etc.
The first section displays information about the current session, including the account name and a list of all the DataSplice roles and groups the user is a member of. The following sections display the attributes available through the user and session. By default the raw attribute expressions are displayed, but double-clicking an item will attempt to evaluate the expression and display the results if desired.
