Running the Plug-in Installation Setup Wizard

The DataSplice .NET integration plug-in installation should be performed on the same server machine that the DataSplice Server is installed on. This may or may not be the same computer that the MAXIMO® server is running on.

Important Note: Before beginning the plug-in installation process, make sure that the DataSplice Server program is not currently running.

If you do not already have the Maximo5.xPlug-in.msi file, you will need to obtain it before you can begin the installation of the plug-in. It should be available for download on your customer download page when you log in to http://www.datasplice.com.

Launching the Setup Wizard

To begin installing the DataSplice .NET integration plug-in, launch the Maximo5.xPlug-in.msi file. If an existing installation of the plug-in is detected, a corresponding message will be displayed to allow a repair or removal to be performed.

Existing Install

  • Repair DataSplice 3.0 Integration Plug-in for MAXIMO 5.x - Attempts to fix an existing plug-in installation that may have some erroneous or corrupt components.
  • Remove DataSplice 3.0 Integration Plug-in for MAXIMO 5.x - Safely removes the integration plug-in from the computer.

If the plug-in has not been previously installed, the initial setup wizard screen will open. Click Next to continue with the installation process. If, at any time, you wish to cancel the installation, click the Cancel button. When available throughout the process, you can also click the Back button to return to the previous setup wizard screen.
