Running the Java Proxy as an Application

After the MAXIMO® classes have been fixed, the Java proxy server can be started. The StartProxy.bat file in the C:\Program Files\DataSplice3\MaximoData\DotNetProxy folder is used to start/load the JNBridge process that acts as the gateway between the DataSplice .NET Plug-in module and the MAXIMO® Java API.

Note: If MAXIMO® is running on a UNIX server, the Java proxy can still be configured to run on that server. The batch scripts are very simple - just convert them to shell scripts and run them. Often the paths on UNIX installations will be different than on Windows installations so the scripts might need a little bit of tweaking to work properly.

Double click on the StartProxy.bat file. This will display a command prompt that displays the following:

Script Command Prompt

The Java proxy is now running as an application.

Note: Closing this window will halt the proxy.
