Navigation
When looking at views, there is a main navigation section towards the top of the screen that provides most applicable navigation options. Using this drop-down, it is possible to go back to the home screen, to see the other states of the current view, to perform pre-defined queries on this view, and to jump to other related views. A small dot symbolizes the item currently being displayed.
Navigating to the Home Screen
To navigate back to the home screen, simply tap the View Selection entry from the navigation list.
Navigating to the Different States of the Same View
Views can be seen in three different states. The different navigation entries to access each of these states are as follows:
- Display Filter - Tapping this entry shows the default filter for the view.
- Display Data Grid - Tapping this entry shows multiple records from the recordset.
- Display Single Record - Tapping this entry shows only one record from the recordset.
Many views have an icon at the very left side of the navigation area that allows the user to jump from one view state to another with a single tap.
- Display Filter Icon - Tapping this icon shows the default filter for the view.
- Display Data Grid Icon - Tapping this icon shows multiple records from the recordset.
- Display Single Record Icon - Tapping this icon shows only one record from the recordset.
Running Queries and Jumping to Other Related Views
The last section of the navigation drop-down list allows for pre-defined queries to be run on this same view or related views. Simply tapping the desired query executes that action.
