Count Exceptions

Description

Count Exceptions is a view designed to provide an efficient means of viewing and correcting inventory counts.

Fields

Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.

Field Name Description
Item The unique identifier for a piece of inventory in the system.
Physical Count Current count entered by the user.
Current Balance The current balance since the last reconciliation.
Bin The bin where the item resides.
Description Description of the item in question.
Issue Unit The unit of measure of the item in question.
Average Cost The average cost for this item.
Catalog Code Catalog code for this item.
Manufacturer Manufacturer of this item.
Model Number The model identifier of this item.
Vendor The vendor where the item is purchased from.
Count Date The date of the last count.
Location The location where the item is located.
Lot The lot where the item resides.
Reorder Point The point where the item will be reordered.
Category The category classification of the item.
Safety Stock The lowest number that should be in stock.
Reconcile Indicator set by the user to specify if this record will be reconciled upon save.

Using the View

Inventory View List

To access the Count Exceptions screen, double tap on the name with the stylus, or select the name and hit the Enter key.

Searching for Records

The Count Exceptions screen initially displays a pre-defined filter for record searches. Key in, or scan, the desired values to search on the hit the Enter key.

Display Modes

Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons:

  • - Display in data grid mode.
  • - Display in single record mode.

Editing Fields

There is one editable field on this screen:

  • Reconcile - This value specifies if DataSplice should reconcile the physical count for the currently-selected record. Checking the value box will tell DataSplice to reconcile the count.
