Equipment Meters / Asset Meters

Description

Equipment Meters (5.x) or Asset Meters (6.x) is a view designed to provide an efficient means of displaying and setting current meter readings for the piece of equipment in question.

Work Flow

Fields

Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.

Field Name Description
Equipment/Asset Number The unique identifier for a piece of equipment in the system.
Meter Name ID of the meter
Active Yes or No
New Reading Reading entered by the user.
Is Roll Over? Indicator that the meter is rolling over.
Last Reading Value of the last meter reading.
Last Reading Date Date of the last meter reading.
Measure Unit Unit of measure for this meter.
Rollover Set when the meter should rollover.
Avg Calc Method Method used to determine average meter units/day.
Life to Date Total value of meter to date.
Remarks Comments
Point Number ID of associated measurement point.
Average Meter Unit The average of the previous readings taken.
Reading Type Type of meter
Last Inspector Name (or ID) of person that recorded the last reading.
Meter ID Unique identifier of the meter.

Using the View

Equipment/Assets View List

To access the Equipment/Asset Meters screen, select Meter Readings in the Assets view’s navigation menu at the top of the grid.

Searching for Records

The Equipment/Asset Meters screen initially displays all of the associated meters, in single record display mode, for the selected asset. In the upper right of the screen, a record count indicates how many were found.

Display Modes

Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons.

  • Display Data Grid - Display results in data grid mode.
  • Display Single Record - Display results in single record mode.

Editing Fields

There are two editable fields on this screen:

  1. New Reading - The new reading for the selected meter.
  2. Is Roll Over? - If the meter has rolled over, so the new reading is less than the last reading, you need to check the roll over check box.
