Planned Items & Services

Description

Planned Items & Services is a view designed to provide an efficient means of displaying and (optionally) issuing/utilizing items, tools, and standard services against a work order.

Fields

Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.

Field Name Description
Use? Checkbox to signify whether or not to apply the selected item/tool to the work order.
Description Description of item, tool or service.
Quantity Quantity of item, tool or service.
Hours Hours of tool usage.
Rate Cost rate of the tool.
Issue To Labor code of person receiving the item.
Order Unit Unit of measure used when ordering item.
Unit Cost Cost per unit of measure
Vendor Company the item or service was purchased from.
Work Order The work order number.
Line Type ITEM, TOOL or STDSERVICE
Manufacturer Manufacturer of item, tool or service.
Required By Date Date the item is required.
Requested By Labor code of requesting person.
Location Storeroom
Request Number Request Identifier
Catalog Code Vendor part number.
Model Manufacturer part number.
Bin Storeroom bin location

Using the View

Planned Items, Tools & Services

Using the Work Orders view navigation, select the Planned Items and Services option. The user will be navigated to the Planned Items & Services screen based on the selected work order.

The Planned Items & Services screen initially displays the results in Grid Mode.

Note: Navigation links are based on user permissions. Some of the links may not appear on your screen.

Display Modes

Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons.

  • Display Data Grid - Display results in data grid mode.
  • Display Single Record - Display results in single record mode.

Line Types

Each of the associated lines has a specified Line Type: ITEM, TOOL, or STDSERVICE. The line type specifies what the current record represents. If the line type is TOOL, then the Use?, Quantity, and Hours fields will be editable. Otherwise, just Use? and Quantity are editable.

Applying Items and Tools

To issue an item or specify tool usage:

  1. Check the Use? checkbox.
  2. Modify Quantity if other than shown.
  3. Modify Hours (TOOL only) to specify how long the tool was used.

Navigation Associated With the View

Using the Planned Items and Services view navigation, select the Work Orders option. The user will be navigated back to the work order.
