Description

Locations is a view designed to provide an efficient means of displaying Location records.

Work Flow

Fields

Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.

Field Name Description
Location The unique identifier for the location.
Description Description of the location.
Type OPERATING, STOREROOM, etc....
Parent The parent of the location.
Grand Parent The parent location's parent. (Used for hierarchy searches.)
Equipment Count Number of equipment records associated with this location.
Children Does location have child locations?
Is Default Signifies a default storeroom.
System ID The system the location is in; PRIMARY, AIR, etc...

Using the View

Locations View List

To access the Locations screen, double tap on the name with the stylus, or select the name and hit the "Enter" key.

Searching for Records

The Locations screen initially displays a predefined filter for record searches. Key in, or scan, the desired values to search on then hit the "Enter" key.

Display Modes

Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons:

  • - Display results in data grid mode.
  • - Display results in single record mode.

Navigation Associated With the View

  • Display Top Locations - Queries and displays locations that have no parent.
  • Location Search - Takes the user back to the default filter screen for the view.
  • View Child Locations - Displays the associated child locations for the selected locations.
  • View Meters - A link to a view that displays the associated location meters.
  • View Parent Locations - Displays the parent location level for the selected child location.
  • View Specifications - A link to a view that displays the associated location specifications.

Note: Navigation links are based on user permissions. Some of the links may not appear on your screen.
