Long Descriptions
Description
Long Description is a view designed to provide an efficient means of displaying and updating long descriptions.
Fields
Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| LDKey | Long Description Key ID. |
| Owner Table | The table name associated with this long description. |
| Owner Column | The column name associated with this long description. |
| Owner Key | The key value from the owner record (assetnum, wonum, itemnum). |
| Long Description | Long description text value. |
Using the View
Equipment View List
To access the Long Description screen, select View Long Description in the current view’s navigation menu at the top of the grid.
Searching for Records
The Long Description screen initially displays the associated LD record for the selected asset, work order, or item.
Display Modes
Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons:
- Display results in data grid mode.
- Display results in single record mode.

Users can edit the record by modifying the Long Description field.
Optionally, if a long description record does not already exist, users can tap on the Create New Record 
button to create a new long description record.
