Work Orders
Description
Work Orders is a view designed to provide an efficient means of inserting and updating work orders.
Fields
Below is a listing of the fields included in this view.
| Field Name | Description |

| Work Order | The work order number. |
| Status | The status of the work order (such as APPR for Approved). |
| Description | A description of the work order. |
| Long Description | The extended (long) descriptoin of the work order. |
| Location | The equipment location of the work order. |
| Location Description | The location's description. |
| Asset Number | The equipment number. |
| Asset Description | The equipment's description. |
| Priority | The priority of the work order. |
| Work Type | The type of work (Corrective, etc...). |
| Lead | The assigned craft for the work order. |
| Supervisor | The supervisor for this work order. |
| Report Date | The date the work order was created (reported). |
| Scheduled Start | Scheduled start date of the work order. |
| Target Start | The targeted date and time for work to begin on this work order. |
| PM | PM number, if work type = PM. |
| PM Desc | Preventative Maintenance Template description. |
| Route | Route Number. |
| Route Desc | Route description. |
Using the View
Available View List
To access the Work Orders screen, double tap on the name with the stylus, or select the name and hit the "Enter" key.

Searching for Work Orders
The Work Orders screen initially displays a predefined filter for work order searches. Key in, or scan, the desired values to search on then hit the "Enter" key.

Display Modes
Optionally, you can tap on either of the display mode toolbar buttons.
- Display results in data grid mode.
- Display results in single record mode.

Completing the Work Order
To complete the selected work order, tap the “Down Arrow” in the Status field value cell to open the value selection list. Select the value “COMP”. The new status value will be displayed in red until the update has been saved (synced with the server).
Additionally, remarks/comments can be entered into the Long Description field.

Work Order Sub-Screens
At the top of the screen, there is a navigation menu named Work Orders. Tap the down arrow to open the menu. You will see the available navigation options in the list.
- Asset Downtime - Allows the user to specify asset downtime for the work order’s associated asset.
- Create Child & Followup Work Order – These two links allow the user to create new work orders.
- Find Work Orders – Returns the user to the default filter screen.
- Planned Items & Services – Displays the list of planned Items, Tools, and Standard Services.
- View Asset – Allows the user to navigate to the asset screen to view/update asset information.
- View Child Work Orders – Navigates to the Child Work Orders view.
- View Failure Reporting - Allows the user to update and add failure reporting details added to the associated work order.
- View Labor Reporting - Allows user to view and add labor records.
- View Material - Allows user to add and update any material records associated to this work order.
- View Planned Labor - Allows the user to view and modify planned labor records associated to this work order.
- View Safety Information - Allows the user to view safety information associated to this work order.
- View Tag Outs - Allows the user to view tag outs and tag locks associated for this equipment.
- View Tasks - Allows the user to view and modify child work orders or tasks associated to this work order.
Create Child Work Order
Using the Work Orders view navigation, select the Create Child Work Order option.

Edit the new work order:
- Enter the Description (and optionally the Long Description)
- Verify that the other information is correct. Modify as needed.

Create Follow-Up Work Order
Using the Work Orders view navigation, select the Create Followup Work Order option.

Edit the new work order:
- Enter the Description (and optionally the Long Description)
- Verify that the other information is correct. Modify as needed.
