Uninstalling Existing Server Components
After the existing installation has been backed up, it should be uninstalled from the server computer. This step may not always be necessary, as versions that are very close to each other may successfully install over the existing installation. However, performing this uninstall ensures that any conflicting files will be taken care of before running the new installation.
To uninstall the existing DataSplice components, perform the following steps.
- Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
- Open Add/Remove Programs.
- Locate and select the DataSplice 3.0 entry.
- Click Change/Remove.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the program.
- Repeat the steps above for any other DataSplice component that is being upgraded, such as the DataSplice 3.0 Integration Plug-in for MAXIMO®.
