 • PO Receiving Plug-In Error for Maximo 5.2 Patch 2

Posted by mjohnson at 2004-10-22 12:12 PM

ISP Elastomers is having a problem when when trying to receive against a PO Line. After they have updated the quantity to be received and hit save, they get the following error: Caught Exception: The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic module. This error does not occur in the Plug-In for Maximo 5.1 or 5.2 patch 1. This error seems to be present only in implementations that are targeting Maximo 5.2 Patch 2.

I'm not sure how the Maximo version should have anything to do with this - it sounds like a reflection permissions issue within .NET. Or maybe it has something to do with the generated .NET-Java proxy.

We need to narrow down the problem to find out what statement in the plug-in is throwing this execption. Since we cannot reproduce the problem here we'll need to either run everything in a debugger on site or create an instrumented version of the assembly that will provide more information about what's happening.

Recompiling the proxy against the patched version of Maximo seems to fix the problem.

It would be nice if MRO would stop changing their APIs with every patch...
