1. Acquire a Registry Editor and install it on the Windows Mobile device.

    The instructions below are for:   TascalRegistryEditor
    http://windmill.datasplice.com/windmill/files/TascalRegEdit/0.90/
    Download and install the appropriate .CAB file for your device processor.  ( ARM or MIPS )

  2. Open the Registry Editor and navigate to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Sip

  3. Disable Word Suggestion

    Tap on the Data field next to SuggWords to edit the value.  Change the value to 0.  (Default value is usually 4)
    Press Ok when finished making the edit.

  4. Disable Auto Correction

    Tap on the Data field next to SuggAutoCorr to edit the value.  Change the value to 0. (Default value is usually 1)
    Press Ok when finished making the edit.

  5. Exit the registry editor.  (Your changes are already saved.)

  6. Open an application that was previously showing corrections/suggestions and verify that they are now disabled.
